Assistant Property Manager – Industry Experience Required

Kansas City, KS | Overland Park, KS | Olathe, KS | $21–$22/hr (Based on Experience) | Contract‑to‑Hire | M–F Schedule

Job Description

You will support daily operations at an apartment community, assist with leasing, rent collection, resident relations, renewal management, reporting, and property management software tasks. Industry experience required. Monday–Friday schedule. Contract‑to‑hire role through BGSF.

Key Responsibilities

• To assist with leasing, renewals, tours, and application processing
• To support rent collection, deposit preparation, and delinquency tracking
• To manage resident relations, handle concerns, and support retention
• To enter data, update records, and use property management software
• To assist the Property Manager with reporting, compliance, and daily operations

Required Skills

• Industry property management experience is required
• Knowledge of leasing, rent collection, resident relations, and office operations
• Experience with property management software (Yardi, Onesite, Entrata, AppFolio, etc.)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently Monday–Friday

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting a manager or leadership team
• Knowledge of Fair Housing laws
• Familiarity with work order systems or maintenance coordination
