Our location in Lake Forest, Illinois currently has an opportunity for a Contracts Manager, US. In this role you will manage pricing and contracting for all assigned customers in an accurate manner, adhering to deadlines. Analyze, interpret and implement customer pricing contracts timely to ensure accurate pricing for customers. Ensure compliance in contracting and pricing to ethical procedures. Provide cross-functional support to develop and drive sound contracting and pricing strategies. Lead and influence both with and without direct authority.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure compliance relative to contracting and pricing contracts against departmental Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC) procedures.
  • Manage and develop contracting and pricing strategies as well as the review and implementation of contract paperwork within a defined market segment.
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve problems and accomplish goals.
  • Act as a consultant and subject matter expert (SME) relative to customer contract language, terms and conditions.
  • Perform customer pricing audits/reviews.
  • Facilitate and implement new customer set up requirements regarding pricing structure.
  • Respond to requests from Sales team and other internal customers to review/correct pricing concerns in a timely manner; measured by resolution rate.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, utilizing experience to suggest means for improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for associated administrative tasks.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time both domestically and internationally by any means necessary to support organizational goals.
  • Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures and guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • 7+ years of applicable experience, knowledge of and ability to apply contracting and pricing strategies to business-specific operations.
  • Ability to understand the organization's strategy and translate this into day-to-day contracting and pricing activities.
  • Experience working with sales or in a sales environment.
  • Ability to facilitate interpretation and understanding of data, identify risks, develop recommendations and implement solutions.
  • Ability to build, maintain and develop professional relationships and partnerships within and outside of the immediate work environment.
  • Ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communication, excellent presentation skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills; problem-solving skills.
  • Ability or aptitude to utilize computer software applications to complete tasks.
  • Ability to consistently provide clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage input from multiple workflows.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, required.
  • Experience with contract language, including redlining preferred.
  • Ability or aptitude to utilize computer software applications to complete tasks.
  • Understanding of legal risk versus business risk.
  • Requires high levels of competence, confidence, and self-motivation.

  • Strong negotiation skills preferred.

The base pay for this position is $99,300.00 – $198,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
