Job Description

About Us:

Edwards Construction Group is a premier commercial construction firm that has been building the critical infrastructure for communities across California for decades. What truly sets us apart is our integrated, hands-on approach to building. We believe in empowering our people, not just constructing great projects.

We value professionals who take ownership, exercise independent judgment, and thrive in high-stakes environments. These principles guide not only our construction projects but also our executive operations, including travel and logistics.

At ECG, we empower our people, provide mentorship, and foster a collaborative environment where precision, discretion, and accountability are paramount. Whether you are managing complex construction projects or safely transporting leadership and executives, your expertise and professionalism directly impact our success and reputation.

If you are a highly skilled aviation professional who values operational excellence, safety, and discretion, and who is looking for a long-term, trusted leadership role, we invite you to apply.

About the Role:

The Corporate Pilot serves as the sole Pilot-in-Command (PIC) for all company flights and is responsible for comprehensive flight planning, aircraft management, regulatory compliance, and executive travel support. This is a trusted leadership role requiring professionalism, discretion, and complete ownership of aircraft operations.

The ideal candidate will ensure safe, seamless, and professional travel while maintaining the highest operational standards and supporting executive discretion.

Job Duties:

  • You will act as PIC for all company flights under FAA Part 91 regulations.
  • You will conduct comprehensive pre-flight planning, including weather analysis, NOTAM review, weight & balance calculations, and fuel management.
  • You will ensure strict safety and regulatory compliance with FAA regulations, aircraft limitations, and company SOPs.
  • You will manage the aircraft while on the road, including ground handling, fueling, and security.
  • You will serve as maintenance liaison with FAA Part 145 Repair Stations and the Director of Maintenance; coordinate scheduled maintenance, inspections, and Airworthiness Directive compliance.
  • You will maintain accurate logbooks and records, both electronic and physical (e.g., CAMP or Trax); support staff may assist with data entry.
  • You will oversee cabin organization, baggage handling, stocking of beverages/snacks/essentials, and coordinate detailing as needed.

Requirements

  • FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate or Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate (ATP preferred)
  • Instrument Rating
  • Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate, maintained without lapse
  • Minimum 1,500 total flight hours
  • 500+ Turbine PIC hours preferred
  • Completed and current PC-12 NGX simulator-based recurrent training (e.g., FlightSafety International or SimCom)
  • Experience as Pilot-in-Command for executive or complex flights
  • Strong pre-flight planning, weather analysis, and risk assessment skills
  • Knowledge of FAA Part 91 regulations and company SOP compliance
  • Ability to coordinate maintenance and liaise with repair stations
  • Logbook and record management (electronic and physical, e.g., CAMP or Trax)
  • Cabin readiness and interior management, including baggage and stocking essentials
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Strong independent judgment and decision-making
  • Valid U.S. Passport
  • Willingness to travel regionally and be on-call as required
  • Ability to adhere to duty/rest limits and respect blackout dates

Benefits

Edwards Construction Group offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:

  • Company-provided lodging and daily meal per diem during travel assignments
  • Company-paid recurrent PC-12 NGX simulator training
  • FAA First-Class Medical renewal reimbursement

A typical hiring range for this position is $120,000 – $160,000 USD per year, with the final salary offer based on your qualifications, flight experience, and relevant skills. In addition, ECG’s total rewards offering includes comprehensive benefits, ongoing training opportunities, and a culture that values professional growth and discretion.

ECG is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. All employment decisions are based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.
