Dance Teacher (Part-Time)
Manlius Pebble Hill School (MPH) seeks a dynamic, knowledgeable, and caring teacher for its Dance classes. Our school places the health and well-being of its students at the center of its program, and the successful candidate will be able to reflect those priorities in their pedagogy. MPH teachers prioritize building relationships with students in a creatively playful environment. The ideal candidate will recognize and effectively respond to students’ interests and needs, and they will relish being a joyful presence in their lives.
MPH’s Visual and Performing Arts Department sustains a vibrant, inclusive, and inspirational community of creative teachers and learners. Dance courses at MPH are available to students in Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools. In Lower School, dance classes provide a foundation for creativity and body safety. Middle School dance classes develop movement skills to grow confidence and enjoy dance as an art form. Upper School offers a repertory class to familiarize students with the history of dance, and a choreography class to design and perform original dance compositions. The Middle and Upper School students culminate their study of dance with a performance in the winter and spring.
