Job Description

Our consumer products client is looking for a Digital Asset Manager to work a 3-month assignment in Minneapolis, MN (40 hrs/week). Candidates must be able to work onsite 5 days/week. The organization is seeking a contract Digital Asset Management (DAM) Librarian to manage, streamline, and optimize digital content created for and by the business. This role supports brand consistency and messaging through asset updates and reinforcement of brand guidelines, providing a single source of truth for digital content and a more consistent user experience across all audiences. This position will specifically support a brand acquisition migration project, moving assets from two external systems into the organizations Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform. The role is expected to begin in early to mid April and last approximately four months. Key Responsibilities: Complete internal DAM training to understand systems, taxonomy, and metadata tagging requirements Migrate assets by batch downloading images from external systems to an internal drive, renaming files to align with established naming conventions, resizing assets as needed, uploading to the DAM, applying appropriate metadata, and publishing assets Work closely with the librarian team to understand project scope, requirements, and receive support as needed Maintain a project tracker and provide regular status updates to the Senior Librarian and Marketing Operations Manager As needed, manage content within the DAM platform outside of the primary migration project, including but not limited to: Asset uploads Collection maintenance Taxonomy management Metadata tagging Asset aggregation functionality Search and indexing support Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Library and Information Science or a combination of relevant education, training, and experience 1 to 3 years of experience with an enterprise level Digital Asset Management system, including taxonomy management and metadata tagging Knowledge of a wide range of file formats and specifications, including still images, video, social, 3D, and web content Solid understanding of web publishing, content management systems, and Digital Rights Management (DRM) best practices and standards Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast paced, creative environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross functional team environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pet product, food, and or retail taxonomies Experience with Sitecore DAM Background in content migration, brand acquisitions, or brand divestitures In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
