Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, motivated freight broker/logistics account executive to join our growing team. This is a sales-driven, relationship-focused role for a proven logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced brokerage environment.
The ideal candidate brings an existing book of business , strong carrier relationships, and the ability to manage shipments from start to finish while delivering exceptional customer service.
Selling, customer development, and performance accountability are top priorities in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Growth
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while representing the company professionally
Manage and grow an existing book of business through consistent communication and service
Identify new sales opportunities and expand customer accounts
Meet or exceed KPI expectations, including revenue, load count, and profit goals
Freight Brokerage & Shipment Management
Communicate daily with trucking companies to negotiate rates and secure capacity
Book shipments and coordinate freight movement from pickup through delivery
Establish shipment schedules and tender loads to qualified carriers
Utilize Transportation Management Software ( TMS ) to create, update, and track shipments
Provide customers with updates via phone calls, emails, and text messaging
Problem-Solving & Operational Execution
Proactively identify shipment risks or service issues and implement solutions quickly
Communicate challenges clearly with customers, carriers, and management
Ensure freight moves efficiently while maintaining positive outcomes
Reporting & Organization
Maintain accurate and organized shipment/customer records for easy access
Prepare performance and activity reports using Microsoft Excel and Word
Support sales and operations teams by assisting with general brokerage functions
Required Qualifications
2–3+ years of experience in freight brokerage, logistics sales, or transportation
Existing and transferable book of business
Proven track record of success and ability to demonstrate results
Strong negotiation and communication skills (written and verbal)
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Self-motivated, resourceful, and driven by performance goals
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word); comfortable using TMS platforms
