We are looking for a passionate Health and Wellness Coach to join Bedford Stuyvesant Family Health Center in Brooklyn. As a Health and Wellness Coach, you will play a crucial role in promoting healthy lifestyles and empowering individuals to make positive changes in their overall well-being. Your work will be instrumental in improving the health outcomes of our community members through personalized coaching and guidance.

As a Health and Wellness Coach at Bedford Stuyvesant Family Health Center, you will be involved in designing and implementing wellness programs, conducting health assessments, and providing one-on-one coaching sessions. Your role will be pivotal in fostering a culture of health and wellness within the community. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health assessments and develop personalized wellness plans for clients.
  • Provide one-on-one coaching sessions to support clients in achieving their health goals.
  • Design and implement group wellness programs and workshops.
  • Educate clients on nutrition, exercise, stress management, and other aspects of well-being.
  • Monitor and track clients' progress towards their health goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure integrated care for clients.
  • Stay updated on the latest health and wellness trends and research.
  • Promote health education and awareness in the community through outreach activities.

Requirements:

  • Passion for promoting health and wellness.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, exercise science, and behavior change techniques.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire clients to make positive lifestyle changes.
  • Certification in health coaching or related field is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy and compassion towards clients from diverse backgrounds.
