Overview:

The Host/Hostess opportunity at Ilili DC located at The Wharf, which is DC’s recently developed waterfront neighborhood nestled on the Potomac River. At Ilili DC, we invite guests to celebrate life and share sundry blends of modern and Lebanese cuisine. Our goal is to unify our guests’ cultures and spirits with our own, expressing passion and generosity in the cuisine we share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing a warm welcome to every guest as they walk into the restaurant, walking them to their table, providing them with menus and answering any initial questions.
• Answering the phone in a prompt and professional manner and assisting guests with their requests.
• Assigning guests to tables while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the equal number of guests/covers.
• Highlighting any special requests made by guests by adding appropriate reservation tags.
• Assisting with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
• Always maintaining a clean, clutter free and organized desk.
• Providing great customer service and being a team player.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.

Ideal Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• One (1) year restaurant experience, supporting a high-volume restaurant
