The ideal candidate brings a blend of aesthetic vision and proven customer service excellence . You will be the lead guide for our clients, translating their ideas into beautiful, functional realities while managing every detail of the project from the first consultation to the final walkthrough.

• Design Consultation: Partner with clients in our Lawrence showroom to curate flooring and tile selections, focusing on color, pattern, and texture.

• In-Home Consultations: Conduct professional on-site visits to assess project needs, provide layout expertise, and ensure accurate project scopes.

• End-to-End Project Management: Own the entire process—including scheduling , proactive problem-solving , and collaborating with our installation teams.

• Organizational Excellence: Manage all data entry, technical paperwork, and orders to ensure client satisfaction.

• Client Relationship Management: Maintain consistent follow-up and professional communication to ensure total customer satisfaction.

• Showroom Inspiration: Assist in maintaining a high-end, organized showroom environment that reflects our commitment to quality and design.

• Design Expertise: Proven experience in interior design, color theory, or pattern coordination. You should be comfortable leading clients through aesthetic decisions. Open to other field design experience.

• Customer Service Background: A strong history in a service-oriented environment. We are a "soft retail" store; we prioritize the relationship and the experience over a hard sell.

• Organizational Mastery: Exceptional attention to detail is non-negotiable. You must be comfortable managing data entry, technical paperwork, and complex project timelines with high accuracy.

• Project Ownership: Ability to multitask and thrive under deadlines. You are the "driver" of the project from the first consultation to the final walkthrough.

• Communication Excellence: Polished written and verbal skills are required for professional client follow-up and internal teamwork.

• Problem-Solving Mindset: A positive, "business-minded" attitude when navigating installation hurdles or logistics.

• Local Professionalism: Familiarity with the Lawrence market and a commitment to maintaining the high standards of the Paradise Carpet One brand.

While not required, the following experience will make a candidate stand out:

• Industry Experience: Previous experience in the flooring, tile, or home remodeling industry.

• Design Software: Familiarity with design or CAD software (e.g., 2020 Design, SketchUp, or similar visualization tools).

• Retail/Showroom Experience: A background in a "soft retail" or high-end showroom environment where the customer experience is the top priority.

• Local Networking: Existing connections within the Lawrence, KS design or home-building community.

• Technical Knowledge: An understanding of subfloors, transitions, or the technical "how-to" of tile and hardwood installation.
