Job Title: Locksmith $25-30/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Locksmith to join our team and work the daylight shift from 7 am to 3 pm, Monday through Friday. The position involves performing skilled locksmith trade work for all university buildings and structures, ensuring compliance with city, state, and county regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire keying system or systems for the campus.
• Provide a proprietary and confidential key/lock program for all buildings.
• Maintain the working operation of all doors, windows, and related hardware as needed.
• Perform all duties associated with the securing of all facilities owned and operated by the university.
• Cut keys, re-pin tumblers, and reset electronic locking systems as needed.
• Assist other trades as needed and provide additional assistance during campus emergencies or events.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the locksmith field
• Licensed and bonded as required by the state
• Certified locksmith
• Skilled in the use of all related locksmith tools and able to set up key systems for entire buildings
• Ability to perform general carpentry duties to repair or replace doors and windows
• Proficient in reading blueprints and related specifications
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with key systems, drilling, hand tools, electrical, mechanical, doors, troubleshooting, inspection, compliance, blueprints, and schematics

The pay range for this position is $61984.00 - $61984.00/yr.
