The Obstetrics Clinical Nurse Specialist reports to Maternal-Child Nursing leadership with close partnership to Perinatal Quality and Professional Practice, collaborating daily with a diverse team across obstetrics, MFM, neonatology, anesthesia, pharmacy, case management, and social work. In this role, the Labor & Delivery CNS leads consultation for complex cases, advances evidence-based protocols, drives simulations, mentors staff, and steers system-level improvement. Qualifications include an MSN/MS, at least two years of recent obstetrical and two years of labor and delivery experience, Michigan RN licensure, CNS certification, plus strengths in analytics, change management, documentation, teamwork, and safe patient-handling.
