Bomberger's Store - Immediate Part Time Flooring and Cabinets Retail Sales Opportunity (Hershey). Approximately 16-20 hours weekly.

The position serves as the first contact with customers interested in floor covering, cabinets and countertop products. The position sells area rugs, carpet, porcelain/ceramic tile, hardwood, laminate, remnants, vinyl flooring, countertops, window treatments, cabinets and cabinet hardware, Larson storm doors, accessories, and sundries by performing the following duties: 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Greets customers in the showroom and speaks with them to assess their needs. Speaks to customers on the telephone to answer questions or provide information. 
• Shares information about products and recommends those that will meet the customer’s needs. 
• Type orders (opportunities) in RFMS, including Work Orders, Pick UP Orders, and Change Orders. Prepares quotes for countertops, carpet, hardware and related items using our product/price “look up” function within RFMS. 
• Reviews product, price and service with customer and closes the sale. Reviews project details and obtains customer approval/signature on quote. 
• Uses customer or Estimator measurements to calculate an approximate cost of the job when requested by customer. 
• Enters special orders in RFMS CRM and processes credit card/check deposits. 
• Helps Calculate square footage for customer projects. 
• Reads and interprets floor plans to prepare and calculate preliminary quotes for new homes or renovations. 
• Places a follow up call to customer after installation to solicit feedback. 
• Places a follow up phone call to customers for whom quotes have been prepared but who have not ordered. 
• Assists in maintaining the showroom by cleaning up samples and returning to proper location; dusting and other light cleaning. 
• Answers phone for the division. 
• Maintains assigned sub-department. Duties may include: cleans respective area, prepares product for display and places new products on the showroom floor as they arrive from manufacturer; ensures product has appropriate makers and stickers; pulls discontinued products when drop notices are received from manufacturer; provides input for changes to the display and arrangement of product. 
• Notifies warehouse personnel of customer pick-ups. 
• Demonstrates regular and predicable attendance. 

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in sales or customer service required
• Knowledge of different types of flooring, cabinet and countertop materials
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work primarily evening and Saturday hours.
• Any applicants interested in this position will be required to commute to Hershey on a regular basis after the initial training period, which will take place in our Lititz location.
• This position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, vision abilities including close vision, distance vision and color vision, and is required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
