Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Salary: $30–$35/hr, non-exempt role

Work Type: Full-time, Hybrid (First 3 months onsite, then minimum 3 days/week in office)

Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), standard company benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support day-to-day microelectronics procurement operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring materials and equipment are sourced accurately, competitively priced, and delivered on time to support engineering and production needs.

You’ll work closely with engineers in a highly technical, fast-paced manufacturing environment that operates on a high-volume, low-mix model. Each purchase order carries significant quantity and value, so precision and accountability are critical. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 3–5 years of manufacturing procurement experience who is ready to take ownership of the full purchasing cycle—from RFQs through delivery tracking and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare RFQ packages based on engineering Main Component Lists and manufacturing specifications
  • Send RFQs to approved suppliers and follow up to ensure timely responses
  • Review supplier quotations for alignment with technical specifications
  • Negotiate pricing and support cost discussions with vendors
  • Create and issue accurate purchase orders, ensuring correct pricing, quantities, lead times, and terms
  • Track purchase order status and delivery timelines; proactively communicate delays or changes
  • Resolve discrepancies related to shipments, documentation, or invoicing
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and accounting teams
  • Maintain vendor relationships and ensure compliance with internal procurement policies
  • Support special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably within manufacturing or industrial environments
  • Experience handling high-volume purchasing with large-quantity POs
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (MS Business Central preferred; SAP or Oracle acceptable)
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data functions)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment
  • High level of integrity and accountability
