Job Description

SASMAR is in search of a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join our expanding international team. Based in Ta' Xbiex, Malta, with operations in various countries including Sydney, Brussels, Hong Kong, Mumbai, London, and Chicago, SASMAR is a leading pharmaceutical company specializing in personal care and fertility products, particularly our well-known Conceive Plus brand. We distribute our products in over 70 countries through multiple channels, including supermarkets, clinics, hospitals, and pharmacies.

As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement processes, ensuring that artworks and component materials as well as services are sourced effectively to meet production and operational needs while optimising cost and quality.

IMMEDIATE START

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and procurement of materials, products, and services in alignment with the strategic goals of SASMAR.

• Coordinate product art files and perform product master file validations

• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.

• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and stay updated on industry trends.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to anticipate and fulfill material requirements for production and operations.

• Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to improve service levels.

• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures while maintaining transparency and ethical standards in all dealings.

• Monitor and analyze inventory levels, facilitating timely product availability while minimizing excess stock.

• Prepare and present procurement reports to management for review and decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 2-4 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.

• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with procurement or inventory management software.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across teams.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
