RESIDENTIAL CLEANER / PORTER – ROVING (ORANGE COUNTY / LONG BEACH)
Pay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday OR Tuesday–Saturday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: Multiple properties throughout Orange County and Long Beach

Purpose

Pan American Properties is a property management service provider seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Residential Cleaner / Porter to join our roving support team! This position plays a vital role in ensuring our communities are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents and visitors. The Roving Cleaner/Porter travels between multiple properties, providing high-quality janitorial support, cleaning services, and occasional event or turnover assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Duties
Maintain cleanliness and support maintenance team at assigned properties:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors (hard surfaces and carpeted areas)

• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, windows, and mirrors

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and common area surfaces

• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies

• Remove trash and recycling; replace liners

• Maintain outdoor areas such as entryways, sidewalks, and parking lots

• Provide turnover support for vacant units

• Set up or break down rooms for meetings or events

Specialized Tasks

• Deep clean carpets, upholstery, or drapery as needed

• Strip, wax, and buff floors using floor care machines

• Clean interior and exterior windows, including frames and sills

Safety & Reporting

• Comply with all safety procedures when using cleaning supplies or equipment

• Report safety hazards, needed repairs, or damages to site supervisor

• Maintain cleaning supply inventory and notify team when restocking is needed

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge

• General understanding of janitorial practices, equipment, and safety

• Familiarity with proper use of cleaning chemicals and tools

• Understanding of sanitation and disinfection protocols

Skills and Abilities

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship

• Ability to work independently across multiple sites

• Basic verbal communication and customer service skills

• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks

• Comfort with physical labor, including standing, walking, and lifting

Minimum Requirements

• Prior experience in janitorial, porter, or general cleaning preferred

• Must be able to speak, write, and understand conversational English

• Must have a valid CA driver’s license, personal transportation, and proof of insurance

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (E-Verify used to confirm eligibility)

• Must pass background check and drug screening (a conviction will not automatically disqualify you)

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, and reaching

• Comfortable with indoor/outdoor exposure and working across multiple sites

• Use of hands, vision, and hearing required for daily tasks
