Job Description

Purpose: A CAD Operator is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. They ensure accuracy and adherence to project requirements, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and work under deadlines. The role requires technical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D designs using CAD software.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and manage drawing archives.
• Update existing digital files to reflect changes.
• Create, edit, and modify technical drawings, blueprints, and 2D and 3D models based on sketches or specifications.
• Implement changes to designs based on feedback from engineers and project managers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in CAD software such as Draftsight, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Revit.
• Strong understanding of design principles and drafting standards.
• High level of accuracy in creating technical layouts.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• Ability to work in a team and interpret verbal/written instructions.
• Strong communication skills.
• Superb work ethic and ability to accept feedback.
• Technical design skills.
• Relevant degree in design, engineering, drafting, or a related field or relevant experience with CAD software.
