NextGen Hospitality Solutions is on the lookout for a dedicated Director of Safety & Risk Management to join our team in Torrance. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for someone passionate about creating safe environments in the restaurant industry. As we strive to uphold the highest standards of safety and risk management, this role is critical in ensuring the well-being of our staff and patrons alike.

As the Director of Safety & Risk Management, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within our restaurants. Your expertise will play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety, which ultimately contributes to the success of our operations and enhances the dining experience for our guests.

We offer a competitive salary range of $105,000 - $125,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your career growth and personal well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures for restaurant operations
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations
  • Train staff on safety protocols and emergency response procedures
  • Investigate accidents and incidents to identify root causes
  • Collaborate with management to create a culture of safety
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and safety trends

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in safety management is a plus
  • Entry-level experience in safety management or related field
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations in the hospitality industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to train and motivate staff on safety practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Certifications in safety management (e.g., OSHA) are a plus
