Join Early Learning Corps as an Early Learning Tutor and you’ll spend your days in a pre-kindergarten classroom to help students build skills and confidence. We’ll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way!
How does it work? Partnering with a teacher, you’ll help enhance learning. Whether talking, reading, writing, singing, or playing with students, you’ll be helping them to build early literacy and math skills.
With the extra attention and support, you’ll make an incredible impact and help ignite a love of learning!

We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 school year. Positions run September 2026–June 2027.
Part-time positions are also available at 25 and 15 hours per week!
AmeriCorps positions include a total service-hour commitment for the program year. Most hours are completed through regular site-based service; members work with program staff to plan their schedule and may occasionally complete approved service or training outside of the school day as needed.
Pay & Benefits
Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks. Compensation: $16.63 per hour served and additional perks! Learn more.

Early Learning Corps is powered by incredible AmeriCorps members who serve as tutors. Started in 2003, Early Learning Corps has helped more than 128,000 children build early literacy and numeracy skills and get ready for kindergarten! Early Learning Corps is administered by Ampact , a nonprofit organization, and fueled by research from ServeMinnesota’s National Science + Service Collaborative .
