General Purpose of Job

This entry-level position supports the protection of industrial control systems (ICS) and other operational technology (OT) assets from cybersecurity threats. The Junior IT/OT Security Analyst assists with monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance activities within OT environments. This role works under the guidance of the Cyber Security Manager and IT/OT Security Analysts to help maintain secure, reliable, and compliant operations while gaining hands-on experience with IT/OT cybersecurity technologies and processes.

Education

  • Minimum: Two (2) year associate degree in computer science or closely related field.
  • Minimum: One earned entry level IT or cybersecurity certifications (e.g. Security +, Network+, CCNA, etc.)
  • Preferred: OT/ICS security; GICSP certification. (Opportunity to pursue after hire)
  • Job-related experience, internships may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Experience

  • Minimum: One (1) year of professional or internship experience in IT, Cybersecurity, or networking, with exposure to OT or ICS environments.
  • Minimum: Exposure to system or network administration concepts (Windows, Linux, networking fundamentals).
  • Preferred: Exposure to SCADA environments.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to operate a variety of office equipment, including a personal computer, printers, copy machines and telephone.
  • Ability to work irregular hours for assignment completion and flexibility to change scheduling and report to work on short notice during emergency situations.
  • Normal work hours will be eight (8) hours Monday through Friday, between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
