ProSync is seeking a passionate Junior Information Security Analyst to support enterprise cybersecurity and information assurance initiatives by assisting in the protection, monitoring, and assessment of information systems and networks. Working under the guidance of senior security personnel, this role contributes to vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, incident response support, and compliance activities. The position is ideal for early-career professionals seeking to develop hands-on experience in a structured federal or large-scale enterprise security environment..

Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring security tools, dashboards, and alerts to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, or policy violations.
• Support vulnerability scanning activities and help track remediation efforts in coordination with system owners and administrators.
• Participate in incident response activities, including documentation, evidence collection, and initial triage support.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of security documentation such as System Security Plans (SSPs), risk assessments, and POA&Ms.
• Support continuous monitoring and compliance activities aligned with federal cybersecurity frameworks and agency policies.
• Conduct basic security assessments of systems, applications, or network configurations under supervision.
• Collaborate with IT, network, and system administration teams to implement security controls and configuration best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of findings, corrective actions, and security metrics.
• Participate in security awareness activities and ongoing professional development to strengthen technical capabilities.

Requirements

• A minimum of one (1) year of relevant professional experience in information security, cyber risk management, network defense, or IT system administration with a security focus.
• Experience may include internships, co-op positions, or hands-on cybersecurity training programs that demonstrate applied understanding of security principles.
• A Security+ CE certification is required.
• A minimum Public Trust security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this position.
  
  

Educational Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field (OR) in lieu of a Bachelor's, an Associate's degree plus two (2) additional years of hands-on experience may be substituted.

Desired Requirements

• A Network+, CEH, or CAP certification is preferred.
