Job Summary:

The Unarmed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within a high-traffic warehouse facility. This role focuses on monitoring employee access, documenting patrols, and supporting safety protocols, including employee check-in/check-out procedures and controlled entry/exit to the warehouse floor. The ideal candidate is observant, dependable, and maintains a professional demeanor while ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and authorize the entry and exit of employees and visitors.

• Oversee employee check-in and check-out processes.

• Ensure employees follow bag check procedures when entering and exiting the warehouse floor.

• Conduct regular exterior patrols of the facility to deter and detect any security risks.

• Perform routine interior walkthroughs to ensure compliance with safety and security protocols.

• Accurately complete daily activity logs and incident reports.

• Maintain a visible and professional presence to promote a safe working environment.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding any concerns or incidents.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Guard Card preferred; applicants without one may obtain it during the hiring process.

• Previous experience in security or a related field is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a warehouse environment.

• Good communication and basic report-writing skills.

• Must pass a background check and drug screening, as required.
