TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – PICC to specialize in the placement, management, and removal of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC lines). This role involves assessing patients, ensuring proper vascular access, and maintaining catheter care to prevent complications and infections.

Responsibilities

  • Insert, assess, and remove PICC lines following best practice guidelines
  • Perform vein assessments using ultrasound guidance to determine optimal catheter placement
  • Educate patients and healthcare staff on PICC line care, maintenance, and infection prevention
  • Monitor for signs of complications , including infections, thrombosis, and catheter-related issues
  • Collaborate with physicians, infection control specialists, and other medical staff to ensure appropriate vascular access management
  • Maintain accurate documentation of PICC line insertions, maintenance, and patient responses
  • Adhere to hospital and nursing protocols for central line care and infection prevention

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in vascular access or critical care nursing
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
  • PICC line certification or Vascular Access Board Certification (VA-BC) preferred
  • Proficiency in ultrasound-guided vascular access procedures
  • Strong knowledge of infection prevention strategies and central line care
